Of course, it’s a very serious business, and buying the product not a laughing matter. However, whenever I see an ad for cremation, it has to cause me a little chuckle. In order to get seniors to sign up for the service, they’re offered a free lunch. It comes with a heavy sales pitch that claims cremation is much cheaper than the traditional funeral.
My disrespectful mind imagines the heated moment when a senior attendee orders the free lunch: I’ll have a fire-roasted hamburger, but be sure it’s not overcooked.
