Scientists Claim They Can Prevent Senility In Mice

Recent medical experiments with the rodents at Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute apparently delay the onset of Alzheimer’s disease. Next step is to test the studies on humans.

I’ve volunteered in nursing homes over the years, and worked with patients with the sad affliction. Most loll every day in their rooms or hallways in confusion and frustration. However, I’ll always remember one patient who was actually very happy in her senility.

She sat at a table with four chairs every day and had active and friendly conversations back and forth with the other three people. By her enthusiastic chatter it was obvious they were friends or family, and also obvious that the chairs were empty.
