Juxtaposition Is A Fave Word Of This Old Fotogger

The word has nothing to do with how auditioning actresses must perform on the casting couch. It refers to an unposed picture setting that happens spontaneously where two or more elements form a creative composition.

For my blog photos, I never pose the subjects, and they’re usually unaware of my camera. This mom prepares to feed her child as the man slurps at the next table. They create a picturesque juxtaposition.
