How To Burn Away Holiday Dinner Calories: Volunteer!

Enjoy gobbling all those holiday goodies, including an extra turkey leg, double helpings of yams and stuffing, and a thick slice of mince pie covered by three scoops of ice cream.

Then, get up and go out to help prepare and serve Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for those not as fortunate as you. Volunteer at a nearby homeless shelter operated by the Red Cross, Salvation Army, your local church or other charity. Your kindly efforts will keep you active during that time for exercising away those extra calories added at the family celebration. Then when the holidays are over, both your body and soul will be satisfied you’ve enjoyed a happy, healthy and helpful holiday.
