Wizard Of Oz & Other 1939 Memories

OzLgMovie history was made 80 years ago by some of the greatest ever, and many of we ancients believe this one released that August was the best of the best. It was also a historic time as the last days of peace. World War 2 started in September just days later, resulting in enormous destruction and millions of deaths

The Academy Award winner that year was Gone With The Wind. Among the other great 1939 movies were Goodbye, Mr. Chips, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, Ninotchka, Of Mice and Men and Stagecoach. If you desire fond memories, wind up your smartphone and/or computer and enjoy classic movies that don’t involve idiotic cursing, brainless drugs and awful noise masquerading as music.
