Fuggetabottit! Nine of them were in blah 1990s productions, except Dr. Strangelove. In that 1964 story, Peter Sellers played several parts, including the idiotic U.S. President who eventually gets the world blown apart. Hmmm. Is something similar happening in today’s politics?
How about actors who were brilliant Presidents in earlier classic movies? Henry Fonda in 1939 was The Young Mr. Lincoln. Charlton Heston was Andrew Jackson in The Buccaneer in 1958, Cliff Robertson portrayed young John F. Kennedy in 1963 in PT 109.
Raymond Massey starred in Abe Lincoln In Illinois in 1940. Edward Arnold was a serious Franklin D. Roosevelt and James Cagney portrayed a musical FDR figure in Yankee Doodle Dandy in 1942. Who could perfectly portray our current president in a future movie? How about W.C. Fields in a yellow wig? http://www.usatoday.com/picture-gallery/entertainment/movies/2019/08/24/ranking-all-time-best-movie-presidents
