The British Guardian newspaper recently published that long list. Many are offensive modern rock-themed holiday screeches from past several decades. However, the pop ones that appeal to this nonagenarian have stood the test of time thru many decades.
My favorites, and not necessarily in rank order, are I’ll Be Home For Christmas, White Christmas, Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas and Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer. The one about being home for the holiday sticks in my old memories from 1944. I first heard it when wandering around San Francisco just a few homesick days before shipping out as a teen sailor on a Navy troopship headed for World War 2 in the Pacific. http://www.theguardian.com/music/2019/dec/05/the-50-greatest-christmas-songs-ranked
