Rover, the website for dog owners, reports that 65% of them say they shoot more photos of their dog than than of families. Dog owners consider their pets to be part of their families. The majority of dog people said they include their best friend in all family events.
Experts claim “Dog people are deeply concerned about their dog’s feelings and well-being. And we’re seeing that reflected in everything from how people name their dog to what they feed them, and the type of pet care they prefer.” The report includes responses from thousands of dog owners as well as scientific research on relationships with their pets.
Overall, the data revealed that the human-dog relationship has evolved from one of ownership to one based on shared family. So, next time you’re out with Fido, be sure to bring your Smartphone and/or camera. And don’t forget to point and say: Grimace!
